Hey Beautiful!

Here’s my list of little treasures I’ve uncovered recently that are making me happy, healthy, and more beautiful inside and out this week. Please note that some of the links below may randomly be affiliates. Enjoy!

1. Eating Healthy and Local on Vacation – I just spent 9 glorious days on vacation in the wettest place on earth, the gorgeous garden island of Kauai, Hawaii. I’m so glad that our room had a full kitchen complete with a blender and stove top so we could buy food at the markets and eat local and clean for most of our meals!

2. Making Traveling with Supplements Easy – Using these is hands down the easiest way I’ve found to organize and efficiently travel with supplements. These are especially a must have for long trips!

3. Quote I’m Integrating “What can you do to support other women feel safe in your presence?” – Emma Clare Juniper

4. Creating Connection Around the World – I’m certain that 2017 will go down as ‘The Year of Sisterhood’. I celebrated International Women’s Day with my powerfully connected Awakened Dreamers meditation group. We sat in meditation at the same time with thousands of women from around the world in love and solidarity as part of Unity’s Synchronized Worldwide Sister Circles.

5. Radical thought I’m Having – The truth is always a gift.

6. Makeup Tool I’m Loving I so love my sweet open Eye Shadow Palette. I love how I can swap out the five eye shadow shades I want to match what I need for a trip.

7. Our Grand Prize Love Letter Winner #3

A brush of Lustre on my lids

Each morning as I rise

Brings out a sense of confidence

And a twinkle to my eye

No longer fazed by busy days

For Lustre wears them well

Since finding one I truly love

I’ve bid other brands farewell

While some had left me lonely

When allergies came ‘round

My happy ever after

With Afterglow is found

-Anna L. ?

Check out the Eco Eye Shadow Shade (Lustre) of Anna’s affection here.

Thank you for being!

Love & Light,

Hey Beautiful!

Here’s my list of little treasures I’ve uncovered recently that are making me happy, healthy, and more beautiful inside and out this week. Please note that some of the links below may randomly be affiliates. Enjoy!

1. Gracefully receiving and gifting compliments – When someone gives you a compliment it’s a gift. Why don’t we receive compliments as the gifts they are? How many times have you rejected a compliment by minimizing it or denying the amazing observation of an aspect that is you?  What would it take for you to gift and receive compliments with pure intentioned love for yourself and others?

2. Why Thinking You’re Ugly is Bad for You – This video. As women we can all participate in shifting this for every generation.

3. Diversifying my healthy lunch menu with – Nori! I’m always looking for a new way to mix up my lunch menu. I’ve found nori sheets (the same stuff your sushi rolls use) help me make the most delicious rolls with what I have in my fridge. I make a filling of the random veggies I have on hand and dress it with avocado, ferments, chicken or fish if you eat meat, sprouts and a drizzle of toasted sesame seed oil and red onion. You can get nori sheets in the Asian food isle at many grocery stores or here online.

4. Quote I’m Integrating – “Cada patada en el culo es un paso ‘pa delante.” (Every kick in the ass is a step forward.)

5. Radical thought I’m Having – I can reinvent the best version of me in every moment. I’m continuing to ask myself, “Who do I want to be in this moment? What is my most helpful response?”

6. Natural Makeup Product I’m Loving The unseasonably warm weather has inspired me to break out my favorite shade of Organic Infused Glow Bronzer, Exotic.  This is an amazing shade if you’re looking to naturally add more true warmth and sunny highlights to your skintone.

7. Love Letter Winner #2 – Here’s our second grand prize winner of our Love Letter contest. Thank you Christina.

❤️ Love at Fist Sight ❤️

Infused with botanicals,

you blend right in.

Allowing MY beauty

to shine from within.

And, your natural sunblock?

Well, it’s a No Brainer!!

For, I live in the desert ?.

And SPF keeps me saner.

I ❤️ you, Organic Infused Foundation!

My heart and face are yours!!!

Hey Beautiful!

Here’s my list of little treasures I’ve uncovered recently that are making me happy, healthy, and more beautiful inside and out this week. Please note that some of the links below may randomly be affiliates. Enjoy!

1. Addressing Dry Lips from the Inside – I’ll be the first to admit that a lip balm will not cure your chronic dry lips. I say this even though we make an amazing luxury organic lip balm. Regardless of the brand, lip balm simply soothes the superficial manifestation of your dry lips… but it doesn’t cure it. I’ve noticed that since I went on my hormone shifting diet guided by the amazing online program, Cooking for Balance by Magdalena Wszelaki, all my dry issues have disappeared. I attribute this to eating more healthy fats and healing my gut which has allowed me to fully absorb more nutrients.

2. Podcast That’s Inspiring Me – Dear Sugar: How Do I Find The Courage To Be My Own Guide?

3. Falling in Love with Hemp – If you haven’t started using hemp hearts (aka hemp seeds) and hemp milk as an upgraded, healthy alternative to dairy and nut milk, they are worth trying. Gluten-free, sugar-free and nut-free, hemp hearts and hemp milk are mild in flavor and their benefits exceed the benefits of other proteins. In fact, hemp’s a complete protein, and provides more digestible protein than eggs, cheese and meat. They are insanely nutritious and rich in Vitamin E, healthy fats and minerals. They’re also an excellent source of essential fatty acids including the perfect balance of Omega 3, 6 and GLA. I get my hemp milk from Whole Foods and my organic hemp hearts for my smoothies and salads here.

4. Quote I’m Integrating – “Do you want to meet the love of your life? Look in the mirror.” – Byron Katie

5. Radical thought I’m Having – It’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.

6. Feeling the Love Every year we hold a Love Letters Contest asking you to write a love letter to your favorite Afterglow product for Valentine’s Day. The first 100 thoughtful entries automatically win a full size product. We choose ten love letters that kept us blushing to win $100 gift certificates. We love hearing your stories and seeing your creativity shine through. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!  We will be announcing the winners and their letters over the next few weeks. Here’s the first winner…

7. Love Letter Winner #1

Dear Shortcake (under eye concealer),

You are my love, my light for the darkness under my eyes. All those late nights up doing homework or sick from Celiac, you are right there to comfort my tired eyes. My eyes brighten as soon as you touch my skin with your silky presence. So soft, gentle and beautiful.

My days brighten when I know I can count on you, my shortcake, to put the light on the dark so my preschool students are not scared.

I can also count on you to be easy on my eyes and prevent me from getting sick. You are not like the other concealers, oh no, you don’t hide your ingredients and you are faithful all day helping me look my best. Other concealers boast of natural ingredients but you don’t have to boast. The proof is immediate, right when you are under my eye.

I know being gluten free, like me, we will always be great together in any kind of weather. I tell my gluten free group about you because I know they would love you like I do. I shout out to the world how much I love you because I want everyone else to know how lovely you are.

My shortcake, I can never do without you. One day without you would be miserable which is why I keep you close to my makeup bag. You will always be near me and I near you.

Shortcake, thank you for holding my hand through the darkness under my eye. Thank you for lighting up my life.

With much love,

Christina Griffin aka Your Valentine

Hey Beautiful!

Here’s my list of little treasures I’ve uncovered recently that are making me happy, healthy, and more beautiful inside and out this week. Please note that some of the links below may randomly be affiliates. Enjoy!

1. Don’t be Jealous – I don’t mean to brag but… I just picked up a generic version of the pricy EpiPen brand called Epinephrine for a mere $9.99 at CVS! I don’t even have insurance! Last year, the makers the epinephrine injectable that saves lives for those with severe allergies to food and insect stings jacked their Epipen price up to an unconscionable $600! Thankfully, the market responded. Just waltz into your nearest CVS and plunk down this coupon with your prescription and get your shiny new 2 Epinephrine pen pack for $9.99. Please forward this coupon to anyone you know that carries Epinephrine!

2. Awareness and Shifting the Vibe – I’ve become very sensitive to the way conversations turn, and how we frame our experiences as “bad” or “good”. Often when a situation is annoying or goes sour, the comment will be made, “It’s always something, isn’t it?!” which immediately skews the vibe negative with a heavy thud. In my mind (and sometimes out loud) I like to counteract that by musing, “That’s an interesting point of view.” and “But how good can it get!?!”

3. Quote I’m Integrating – “Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.” – Maya Angelou

4. Feeling Results – I’m a full two months into my hormone shifting diet guided by the amazing online program, Cooking for Balance by Magdalena Wszelaki. At this point, I have a whole laundry list of notable shifts that have happened in my body, but the biggest one is that my endometriosis pain, that plagued me every month, all month long, is gone! If you suffer from thyroid issues, Hashimoto’s, adrenal fatigue, PMS, infertility, peri-/menopause, PCOS, endometriosis, estrogen dominance, fibroids, breast lumps/cancer check out Magdalena’s free intro workshop here.

5. Getting Sweeter with Omica Organics Stevia There’s simply too much evidence about the insanely damaging effects of sugar on the body to ignore at this point. Unfortunately, the healthy defacto sugar sub, stevia, can have a bad/bitter aftertaste. What’s a sweet tooth to do? Try Omica Organics Stevia. Their processing is different, it’s cleaner and eliminates the aftertaste. I was so inspired after listening to the owner talk about their conscious manufacturing processes that I went out and bought some. I don’t regret it at all. Delish!  I’m using this flavor.

7. Natural Beauty Product I’m Loving I just uploaded our latest video which details the what, why and how to for our Organic Infused Calm Cover concealer.  This is the perfect redness cancelling product for acne and blemishes. Check it out and please don’t forget to like the video and subscribe to our channel!

The Truth About Organic Beauty Brands

The Truth About Organic Beauty Brands

If you’re like most people, you’ve probably wondered at some point or another, “Is it really worth it to buy organic?” This is a common question when it comes to beauty products: after all, it’s not like you actually ingest your foundation or lip gloss. So does organic really matter when it comes to which beauty brands you use? At Afterglow, we’re convinced that it does, and we’re eager to share with you why we proudly stand behind our natural, organic infused, cruelty-free products.

The Truth About Conventional Beauty Brands

The average woman uses 12 cosmetic products a day containing approximately 168 different ingredients, according to researchers from the Environmental Working Group (EWG). While you may think the effect of traditional, synthetic-based cosmetics products is simply superficial, many of these products include increasingly questionable ingredients such as parabens preservatives, industrial plasticizers like phthalates and artificial fragrances made from irritating petrochemicals. In fact, many modern day synthetic chemicals are actually designed to penetrate the skin’s inner layers. In other words, those synthetic ingredients are being absorbed into your body through a process called transdermal penetration.

Unfortunately, scientists are only beginning to understand the potential biological damage caused by cosmetic chemicals, but over the years a number of different common ingredients found in everything from anti-aging products to hair dye have been linked with toxic outcomes ranging from breakouts to reproductive abnormalities to cancer. While many countries around the world have outright banned the sale of cosmetics including synthetic ingredients, the USA has one of the most relaxed oversight policies. However, while research continues to change what we know about how cosmetic chemicals affect our health and we as a society question why rates of cancer, thyroid and hormonal imbalances are skyrocketing, uninformed women continue to slather themselves with these products every day.

A Refreshing Alternative

At Afterglow, we know that there’s a better way and our philosophy is simple: In the face of so much uncertainty around which synthetic chemicals have long-term health effects the choice is clear, remove yourself from the chemical equation whenever possible. If you can find a natural cosmetic alternative that is just as good or better than the unknown quantity of its synthetic cosmetic counterpart, choose it. And remove yourself from the synthetic chemical equation.

Our natural cosmetics are completely free of paraben preservatives, irritants like bismuth oxychloride, nylon and PEG (Polyethylene Glycol), synthetic FD&C and Lake Dyes and fillers found in conventional cosmetics. Our commitment to purity infuses everything that we do. The result? Customers who buy our mineral cosmetics do so with the absolute peace of mind that they’re using the most natural ingredients, including everything from pharmaceutical grade minerals and pigments to certified organic botanicals. This not only makes them safe, but also ideal for sensitive skin, nourishing, effective, and easy to apply (and remove!).

Add in the fact that we’re kind to the planet as well as to animals with cruelty-free certifications from both PETA and Leaping Bunny, and the reasons to opt for organic grow longer.

Even better? We’re committed to transparency, meaning you know exactly what you’re getting when you purchase our products for face, eyes, and lips, along with tools like our silky-soft professional grade vegan cosmetic brushes.

At Afterglow, we know that you have more choices than ever when it comes to the beauty products you buy and use. We’re dedicated to giving you an alternative to traditional beauty brands which not only performs better while delivering long-lasting, high-quality results, but also does no harm. And that’s what we call beautiful.

Hey Beautiful!

Here’s my list of little treasures I’ve uncovered recently that are making me happy, healthy, and more beautiful inside and out this week. Please note that some of the links below may randomly be affiliates. Enjoy!

1. Finally Pressing Record – Check out my first video, How to Apply our Natural Concealer, all about applying our Perfecting Under Eye Concealer. Video hasn’t been “my thing” for many years but I know how many prefer video, so I’ve finally gotten out of my own way and my own head and pressed record.  Whew, it took a real push to get here but now I’m officially a YouTuber! Please like the video and subscribe to our YouTube channel. I’ll be adding a video a week!

2. Letting THIS Food Be My Medicine – It’s no secret that our diet, emotional state and lifestyle has the ability to turn on or off certain latent genes that could manifest disease. The study around this fenomena is called epigenetics. There’s a component of cruciferous vegetables called Sulforaphane, which is a potent dietary activator of genetic pathway that regulates over 200 genes including cancer, mortality, aging, brain and behavior and heart disease. Check out this exciting video, by Dr. Rhonda Patrick, Sulforaphane and Its Effects on Cancer, Mortality, Aging, Brain and Behavior, Heart Disease & More. Dr. Patrick will get you so insanely excited about broccoli sprouts by the end of this video, you’ll immediately want to start your own broccoli farm (or a mini one with sprouting). Pop on over to Spout People for your very own broccoli sprouting starter kit.

3. Quote I’m Integrating – “You are constantly shaping a mirror that reflects you.” – Bentinho Massaro

4. Radical Thought I’m Having – The most powerful change starts with a question.

5. Re-Imaging 2017 Subconsciously – In the book Biology of Belief, Bruce Lipton, Ph.D. cell biologist, epigenetic researcher, demonstrates how the expression of the mind is changed into chemistry. The picture that you have in your head is translated into neurochemistry that matches the picture of yourself you hold in your head. Being mindful of this perspective could be a real game changer for all of us! Release yourself from your subconscious program and watch Bruce Lipton’s illuminating video about how to approach your resolutions and goals.

6. Love Languages & Leggings – My love languages are Physical Touch and Gifts. I was so tickled to get these gorgeous Sea Wolf Designs, hand made, bamboo, Mystical Owl Print Leggings from my bestie! Check out their Etsy site for mystical, arty, hand made, earthy and totally unique athleisure.

7. Natural Beauty Product I’m LovingOne of our highest rated and most loved products, Organic Infused Perfecting Under Eye Concealer, just had to be my first video in my Afterglow tutorial series. I could go on and on about how amazing this little gem is but I’ll let my video speak for itself.

Thanks for staying present!

Love & Light,

Kristin

Concealing Acne: Tips and Tricks from Top Makeup Artists

If you’re like many women, you probably thought your skin problems would go away with your subscription to Teen Beat. Unfortunately, as we grow older we realize that issues like pimples, acne and breakouts continue to affect us well into our 20s, 30s, and beyond. You don’t have to settle for zitty skin or rely on antiquated, disappointing “acne cures”. Instead, try these secrets, borrowed from some of the industry’s top makeup artists, for covering and concealing skin blemishes in a pinch.

Flattening the Problem

In an ideal world you’d have time to sit in a dark room waiting for your skin to clear up. But life doesn’t stop just because your skin isn’t cooperating. When a pimple pops up with no time to spare, your first course of action is to reduce the swelling. For an immediate fix, applying ice to your breakout may reduce inflammation, redness and swelling.

If you have a moment for a DIY mask, crush a few non-coated aspirin and mix with a few drops of water to make a paste. Apply this mixture to your face and wait 10-15 minutes to wash off. Aspirin contains salicylic acid. May acne sufferers report that this DIY aspirin mask dramatically reduces acne inflammation and swelling.

Once you get your hands on these clever Duoderm patches, your nighttime acne routine may change forever. Originally designed as open wound dressings, these patches can also serve as tiny sponges to soak up your pimple overnight. Simply cut a dime size piece of the Douderm patch and apply to your pimple. The patches are most effective on protecting, absorbing and flattening broken skin acne allowing your skin to naturally heal faster. Apply the custom cut patches to your skin at night.

Heal and Conceal

Your next step is to camouflage the blemish. Unfortunately, many products designed to treat pimples and breakouts cause dryness and flaking. Our pick, instead? Organic Infused Aloe Concealer and Organic Infused Total Cover Concealer. Our Aloe Concealer is loaded with skin soothing organic botanicals like certified organic aloe vera, it not only conceals, but also nourishes skin while covering up discolorations, from acne to age spots. Our Vegan Concealer Brush, meanwhile, is perfect for precision blending for a naturally beautiful look with both the gel Organic Infused Aloe Concealer and the loose powder Organic Infused Total Cover Concealer.

When applying concealer to acne spots, start with a clean face and dab the natural concealer of your choice onto the acne spot. Gently blend in the edges of the spot for an even finish.

Focus on the Finish

Lastly, follow up with your favorite loose powder foundation, we recommend our Organic Infused Foundation, to set the concealer while delivering all over even, luminous skin.

Acne may be the country’s most common skin condition, impacting a whopping 40 to 50 million Americans every year, according to the American Academy of Dermatology, but that doesn’t mean you can’t put your best face forward. The right technique combined with the right products can not only help you hide blemishes, but also minimize future breakouts. Step away from that tube of toothpaste and start looking forward to a flawless future.

Don’t let blemishes stop you. Stop them instead with these proven tips and tricks for concealing and healing.

The 80-20 Rule for Beauty

Beauty and Pareto’s Principle

While the words “economic theory” and “beauty products” aren’t often used in the same sentence, we’re getting academic today here at Afterglow. Read on to learn more about Pareto’s Principle, along with how applying it to your daily beauty routine can transform your skin, body, and entire beauty regimen. Examples of this principle exist everywhere in life. I’m going to fill you in on this magic ratio and then tell you how I apply it to my own highly simplified beauty routine.

The Pareto’s Principle

Also known as the “80-20 Rule,” the Pareto Principle suggests that the majority of things in life are not distributed evenly. Rather, some make a greater contribution than others.

While originally suggested by Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto as he observed that 80% of his country’s wealth belonged to a mere 20% of its population, and that 20% of the pea plants in his garden yielded 80% of peas. Pareto’s Principle has since been shown to carry over to countless other areas of life in which the most significant outcomes derive from the minority of proportional efforts. This means that you should observe that 80% of your actual results come from 20% of your efforts… even in the beauty department.

After many years researching and experimenting in the health and beauty industry, I’m convinced that this principle applies to health and beauty as well. It might not be sexy or sell a lot products, but once you observe your beauty routine through this 80-20 lense, you’ll experience more joy, more vitality, more radiance and have more time. How beautiful is that?!

Now it’s time to determine which 20% of your health and beauty routine is important to focus on to yield the greatest (hopefully at least 80%) of your health and beauty results. While the 80-20 breakdown is statistically variable, the takeaways are the same: less truly can mean more.

Beauty and Pareto’s Principle

Now that we’ve got the technical stuff out of the way, you’re probably wondering, “What the heck is this doing on a beauty blog?” Well, the answer is twofold.

Let’s start with how we choose between the multitude of natural cosmetics and beauty procedures on the market. While many consumers fall into the trap of assuming that the natural cosmetic products with the most organic and natural ingredients must also be the best, this couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, what really matters is the seeking out products with the most effective natural ingredients and certifications to backup their claims — not to mention prioritizing formulas which promote better health instead of compromising it through the inclusion of unsavory, potentially toxic ingredients.

Then there’s your beauty regimen itself. Rather than loading your skin up with tons of heavy, synthetic chemical-laden cosmetics, a few key products and supplementing with non-invasive, skin rejuvenating techniques can achieve the same or better results while simultaneously helping you avoid the time and money trap of selecting the wrong natural cosmetic or spa service. In other words, it’s not about how many products you use, but instead about making smart natural cosmetic purchasing choices, and incorporating them into your natural beauty routine in the most efficient way.

My Natural Beauty 80-20 Beauty Routine for the Best Results

What I know for sure is that consistency and focus is key to maintain beauty and vitality. I focus on the following three areas to maintain my health and natural beauty.

I Choose Inside Out Beauty First All beauty starts with what’s going on inside. That’s why your first line of defense for maintaining vibrant skin, hair and nails is your diet. Your dry skin or acne is likely not just a topical issue that can be cured with a cream. Everything you see on the outside from wrinkles to acne and eczema is due to a systemic imbalance issue that starts on the inside; often in the gut. The sooner you come to terms with this, the sooner you can start address the root cause and heal. Your most focused effort and long term “bang for your buck” will be had getting your eating habits, food allergies, digestion, water and supplementation nailed down. Then create a systemized and reproducible routine out of your new body awareness.

For me, this means healing with food and focusing on being consistent with a healthy low allergen diet and quality, targeted supplements. To get there, I took a shortcut by going to a functional medical doctor. She ran a hormone test and a few blood panels to give us a baseline. We came up with an easy supplementation strategy and food focus. For my own hormone balancing challenges, I followed the hormone balancing class Cooking for Balance to easily create a low allergen cooking and eating routine.  I loved the Cooking for Balance program so much I became an affiliate. All of this supports long term health and beauty. Am I crazy, stressed out and dogmatic about it? No… not usually. I know that if I do the right thing for my body (almost) all the time I will naturally keep it in a state of healing and move steps closer to sustained ease, joy and beauty.

I Choose Natural Cosmetics  Of course I use all of my Afterglow Cosmetics but I also choose other natural cosmetics including my toothpaste, hair products and deodorant based on the same philosophy I use when creating Afterglow. I read ingredients. Choose products free of as many synthetic chemicals on my Never Ever List as possible and choose the less is more approach.

I Choose Light, Energy and Movement
It might surprise you to hear that I never waste my money on facials. I choose instead to put my money and time towards sessions that promote subcutaneous regeneration and healing through light (laser) and movement (self-massage). I feel I get the most natural lift and best results from Laser Genesis which is a non-ablative laser that promotes elastin and collagen production while reducing redness, acne and overall inflammation.

I also use a tool from Ashley Black called Mini 2 Fascia Blaster to massage my face a few times a week. This tool breaks up fascia on my face and body while promoting blood, oxygen and lymph movement throughout my face and body.

What do you choose?

With so many options available to us, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Even in the world of natural health and beauty, less is still more. The trick is finding the few products and services that honor your body and beauty at every level. By applying Pareto’s Principle to your overall beauty philosophy, you can embrace your inner economist while putting your best face forward. Have you stopped to reflect which things you spend your time and money on have the biggest impact on your health and beauty? I would love to know, please comment below!

Hey Beautiful!

Here’s my list of little treasures I’ve uncovered recently that are making me happy, healthy, and more beautiful inside and out this week. Enjoy!

1. Celebrating the Small Wins – It’s very hard to be beautiful when you aren’t happy. Carrying an ongoing light of gratitude in your mind and heart is an important part of beauty. At the end of a year it seems we fall into a funk of what we didn’t do or accomplish, and struggle to remember all of those small wins that made our year great (yes it was!). Moving into 2017, I have committed myself to a “Jar of Awesomeness” practice. Watch this short video by one of my entrepreneurial crushes, Tim Ferriss, as he explains how this sweet practice could be the best thing you do for yourself this coming year.  (Along with a personal note, it would also be an inexpensive and thoughtful last minute xmas gift!)

2. Unconventional Giving Back – Every year I look back on all the amazing people in my life that have supported me on my journey and bathe in the knowing of how blessed I am. I love having the ability to pay it forward to so many people. The micro-loan organization Kiva allows me to give back in a small way to elevate people out of poverty and support their entrepreneurial dreams of a better life. Since I started with Kiva in 2010, I have made 98 micro-loans for as little as $25 to people in 34 countries. View the recipients of all 98 loans I’ve made here. You can get started on your philanthropic journey for just $25 here.

3. Quote I’m Integrating as I reflect on 2016 – “You can only run your own race.”

4. Radical Thought I’m Having – I am the sum of my intentions and choices.

5. Why We’re Taking Two Weeks Off – This is the second year that the Afterglow team will be taking two weeks off starting on Christmas. We’ll return January 9th, 2017. Sounds insane, doesn’t it? I wrote a blog post about why I believe this is one of the most sane business decisions I’ve made: Why We’re Taking Two Weeks Off. (And don’t worry! We’ll still be taking orders online and shipping while we’re out. Read the blog post to find out how.)

6. My Favorite New Year’s Video – As you move into the new year, set down your critiques and self-criticism about what did or didn’t happen to and for you in 2016… and slip into this gorgeous, inspiring TedTalk Nature. Beauty. Gratitude. by the incredible time-lapse photographer, Louie Schwartzberg.

7. My 3 Winter Skin Savers – Cold weather and dry skin has me reaching for these three amazingly hydrating skin care products; Exuberance Beauty’s Wild Blueberry Intensive Day & Night Cream, Evening Primrose Eye Contour Cream and Organic Infused Lip Soothers.

Thanks for staying present! Enjoy your holiday weekend and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Love & Light,

Kristin
